August 6 Saturday.
Got an appointment with Onan to look at the Generator the following Thursday in Calgurary. Took off south for the Columbia Ice Flow. It was great, only problem we didnt put the media back in the camera so only pictures we have were from a cd I bought in the Gift Shop. The Columbia Ice Field Center was about 67 mile south of Jasper. We bought ticket for the tour. It started with a bus ride from the center to the Athabasca Glacier base camp where we got off the bus and got back onto a giant Ice Bus with wheels 5 feet in diameter and 18 inches wide. These buses were made specially for glacier travel. They are 6 wheel drive and have a top speed of 12 mph. The hold 64 passengers. The tour last about an hour including the ride to and from the center. Let see..... 64 people times $33.00 equals $2,112 a trip. Now they run 10 hours a day. $21,120 per bus per day. OH I forgot they have 6 buses, him....that mean they could bring in $126,720 a day if all the slots were full. Not bad.
